AgriFood Certification

Agri Food Certification was created to provide non-biased, third party certification programs and assure the traceability of meat and poultry products. Agri Food Certification administers the certification process for the food supply participants who seek certification under the VeriPrime Traceability Assurance System (VTAS) under an exclusive contract from VeriPrime. The VTAS is the only USDA accredited program for certified traceable meat and poultry. It establishes a new Industry Standard and minimum standard of care. The USDA recognized plan calls for industry implementation by October 1, 2006.


Hiper Technology

HiPer Technology, founded in March 2000, is in the business of developing, manufacturing and marketing products using a new carbon fiber (super-structural) composite resin manufactured using proprietary thick wall molding techniques. The resulting products are targeted to replace similar products presently manufactured from heat-treated aluminum alloys, laminate composites, or non-structural resin. HiPer co-developed this material with E. I DuPont de Nemours (DuPont). Their current primary market are ATV wheels with recent introductions for Micro Sprint Cars and small motorcycles.


Immunogenetix Therapeutices, Inc.

ImmunoGenetix Therapeutices, Inc. is a biotechnology company developing advanced DNA immunotherapies for HIV infection. DNA immunotherapies offer a promising approach to reducing the dependency on anti-HIV drug cocktails and diminishing the emergence of drug resistant HIV strains. They are relative inexpensive to produce, readily scaled up, and stable at ambient temperatures. The Company is seeking $4M in financing to complete IND enabling studies, file and launch a clinical trial on its lead product candidate.


Innovia Medical, LLC

Innovia Medical, LLC acquired all of the operating assets of MDI Instruments, Inc. in April 2005, a previously orphaned division of Becton Dickinson, whose FDA approved products utilize the only technology for the rapid detection of middle ear fluid and ear infections. Innovia offers both a professional model (EarCheck® Pro) and a consumer model EarCheck® MEM) with disposable tips for each. Both models of EarCheck use patented Spectral Gradient Acoustic Reflectrometry (SG-AR) technology, which represents the best solution for medical professionals and the only solution for parents to safely, painlessly and quickly test for signs of ear infection in children.


Inverseon

Inverseon is a clinical-stage company re-profiling drugs for chronic diseases, focusing on the long-term effects of drugs versus their short-term effects. Inverseon was founded in 2004, based on technology developed by Richard Bond, PhD, an Associate Professor at the Univeristy of Houston (Texas). Inverseon’s lead drug is an oral, daily therapy for asthma, which has completed a positive Phase IIa proof-of-concept clinical study. Inverseon intends to formulate a controlled-release version and take that into Phase IIb studies for asthma. This opportunity is a new approach to treating asthma, one which should be complementary to and compatible with currently used therapies.

LaGarde, founded in 1996, is an e-business software and service products provider to small and medium sized businesses worldwide. LaGarde’s market leading line of StoreFront® e-business products provide organizations of all types the power to create e-business systems that leverage the capabilities of the Internet to grow their businesses. LaGarde’s StoreFront products have been used to create nearly 50,000 highly functional, robust and customized e-commerce enabled websites in over 70 countries around the world.

PeakVision Sports LLC
PeakVision® Sports LLC is focused on product development, marketing and sales of high quality, technology driven sunglass eyewear to enhance performance for specific sports. PeakVision Sports products employ patented Dual-Zone technology, offering lens filters that enhance visualization of key scenes in specific sports, while providing the ultimate in UV eye protection. In 2005, PeakVision successfully penetrated the golf sunglasses business with distribution of over 12,500 pairs of sunglasses. With access to capital in 2006, PeakVision could expand quickly in othe rsports markets such as snow sports, baseball, water sports, target sports and others.

Positive Networks
Positive Networks has developed a proprietary, industry-leading technology and service delivery platform that provides mobile workers with secure, cost-effective remote access to a company’s internal network. For companies that need a seamless and cost effective remote access solution, Positive Networks offers the only completely outsourced, easily provisioned and scalable remote access virtual private network (VPN) service. For the past several years the Company has focused its efforts on developing its proprietary technology and service platform and is now seeking an equity partner to provide growth capital so that it can rapidly accelerate customer acquisition.

Ventria
Ventria, incorporated on August 25, 1993 as a California corporation, is a development stage biotechnology company engaged in the development of recombinant proteins using its proprietary ExpressTee™ technology to commercialize products with applications in human and animal health. The Company was founded by Bill Rutter, a pioneer in the field of biotechnology. The Company has developed a product pipeline where various proteins developed using its proprietary technology will be used as raw materials for medical foods or pharmaceuticals sold by third parties. In the next five years, the Company plans to complete regulatory processes and launch eight new products to compete in U.S. markets collectively sized at greater than $4 billion.

Verenta Pharmaceuticals, LLC

Verenta Pharmaceuticals, LLC is a specialty pharmaceutical company focused on the development and commercialization of new formulations, and prodrugs, of currently marketed prescription products. This approach has several key advantages over the traditional biotechnology/biopharmaceutical company’s emphasis on development and commercialization of new chemical entities (NCEs). Verenta has initiated efforts to develop a new formulation of cyclosporine for the treatment of dry eye and has licensed an improved controlled release version of tramadol.
